The Farm To Bottle series from the wonderful family brewery continues to move and excite, with a new launch and a northern greeting.
The pear beer from Shapira Brewery, in a limited edition of course, relies on Eden-variety fruits harvested in the orchards of Kibbutz Yiftach in the Galilee, with thought given to rehabilitating the region after the war, and an aspiration to highlight the story of Israeli agriculture.
The result, by its very nature but also without any compromises, is charming — a truly Israeli beer, fruity and delicate (5% alcohol) and autumnal to a degree that leverages a pear-and-vanilla flavor profile into a wonderful drink and a base for cocktails. Price: NIS 14.5.
Crunch Wafer and Kit Kat Chunky Funky, Osem-Nestlé
Shelves bursting with options are receiving additional reinforcement these days, with a sweet double launch.
Kit Kat Chunky Funky and the Crunch wafer from Osem-Nestlé speak the same language, with a slightly different accent. The first wraps a crispy wafer with milk chocolate and white chocolate for a rich, “zebra-like” and decadent result, while its partner intensifies things with a combination of milk chocolate, dark chocolate, cocoa and crispy cereals, all the way to the crunch bar that is the brand itself.
Super Mario Edition, Kinder Joy
The sweets-and-toys brand from Ferrero returns to its Italian roots with a special and especially in-demand edition.
The Super Mario series from Kinder Joy, offered in a single or triple format, includes a toy from the rich world of the most famous plumber in the world. The other half, of course, combines milk and cocoa cream with crispy wafer balls, and all the rest of the fun is provided by a QR code with dedicated stickers and backgrounds. What more does one need, really.
Dark Roast Collection, Starbucks
The American coffee brand gathers strengths and intensities into a wake-up pack with presence.
The Dark Roast Collection box from Starbucks, in a limited edition of course, contains four sleeves of capsules (Espresso Roast, Ristretto, Italian Style and Caffè Verona) that highlight a noticeable caffeinated aroma and real strength, and adds to them a branded glass cup. The price, NIS 65, makes this story even stronger.
Mint-Flavored Water, Neviot
And if there’s no winter, at least let there be winter drinks. Or at least drinks dreaming of winter.
The mint versions of the Neviot flavored water series return to the shelves ahead of the cold season. They include sweet and aromatic combinations of mint-peppermint and mint-lychee, and are available for purchase in a half-liter format and in a 1.5-liter bottle — fun straight from the fridge on Israel’s (not-so) cold days, and even better as part of a cocktail, with lots of ice of course.
