A prosecutor has been assigned to oversee the case, and the State Attorney’s Office is preparing an indictment that is expected to be filed in the coming days, a source told Walla.

The investigation found substantial evidence that the suspect had sexually assaulted his granddaughters, claiming he did so to "prepare them for adulthood."

The Central District Court in Lod sentenced the defendant to 20 years and three months in prison and ordered him to pay a total of NIS 150,000 in compensation to his former wife and their daughter.

The UK Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) had previously charged the brothers with a total of 21 counts in relation to three victims, including rape and human trafficking.

The suspect’s attorney said the alleged contact was consensual, while the court extended the teacher’s detention and barred publication of his name.

A lawyer identified only by her first name, Sarah, told CNN that the alleged sexual misconduct lasted for over a year after she started working as Khan’s assistant in February 2023.

"This kind of thing never happened before October 7. Back then, we only faced this type of abuse if there was a hunger strike or a riot," the released prisoners told Wall Street Journal.

According to the complaint and Liedtke’s account, the alleged assault occurred on October 10, 2025, after she was transferred to Givon Prison following the interception of a Gaza-bound flotilla.

Itay Levy was arrested in April 2024 on suspicion that he committed sexual offenses against multiple underage victims.
