With two current films, director Rachel Israel offers comic relief for Jewish trauma

Two unabashedly Jewish comedies were directed: The Floaters, set at a Jewish summer camp, and Influenced, a satire of Manhattan influencer culture that culminates in a b’nai mitzvah celebration.
