Israel Police have arrested two minors suspected of stabbing a 28-year-old in Tel Aviv on Thursday night, police confirmed on Friday.

Close to midnight, police received a report that the victim had been attacked as he exited a restaurant. Police arrived at the scene and caught the two suspects a few streets away from the incident.

The suspects, two 16-year-old foreign residents, will be brought before the Magistrate's Court to discuss an extension of their detention.

The victim was lightly wounded and was taken to a clinic for medical treatment.

Continued crackdown on illegal immigrants

Israel Police also confirmed that a building site was shut down after six illegal immigrants were discovered there.

The six illegal immigrants had been working on the site with no permits, police stated, and they have been arrested. The building site owner was also detained for questioning.

Police announced even more illegal immigrants arrested on Friday, when police found a car in Ein Vered containing nine residents of Nablus who had no entry or work permits for Israel.

All nine were arrested, along with their driver, a Tira resident.

Additionally, N12 reported that a 29-year-old was killed by police on Thursday night in Ibtin, a Bedouin village. The victim is alleged to have been armed and to have shot at a house in the village.

According to a witness, police were in the area when they were made aware of a shooting happening in Ibtin, and moved in to neutralize the suspect. An illegal weapon was found in the area, but an investigation is required to determine whether the suspect possessed the weapon at the time he was shot.
