Mana Hama Wok and Ramen, Osem

It was only a matter of time, and even though it took a long time to arrive, now is probably the time.

The three new series from the popular ready-meal brand Osem finally bring together local flavors and Israeli consumer behavior with very broad global trends. In other words – Mana Hama Ramen, Mana Hama Wok, and all the other words are probably less important.

The multiple launch of Mana Hama includes a classic ramen-style soup, Thai tom yum-style soup, spicy ramen-style soup, noodles with classic stir-fry sauce, pad thai-style noodles, green curry-flavored noodles, Szechuan-style rice, Thai-style rice, and green curry-flavored rice. The talk is Asia, a wink toward the East, but all the boxes speak young and updated worldwide. A few minutes, and you’re totally connected.

Hummus Spread, Achla

The popular hummus brand from Strauss expands refrigerator shelves with a new sub-series and a double launch within it.

Achla’s hummus spread was born out of the desire to pre-mix vegetables and additions inside it, to avoid extra fuss and slightly annoying tasks, and to create a “consistent, balanced, and tasty experience,” according to the professionals and marketing team.

The two pioneers of the move are 380-gram containers in fried onion and shifka pepper flavors, which already manage to convey a dream and its fulfillment at the start. The spread is indeed uniform, the flavors – sweet roasted onion and peppery spiciness, respectively – are noticeable, and the chickpeas act as a companion. Dominant, of course, but still different and unique.

Whipped Cream Cheese, Napoleon

The high-fat brand from Tnuva joins the growing restaurant trend and launches a new, intriguing container.

Napoleon’s whipped cream cheese (NIS 14.80–NIS 15.90 for 180 grams) is based on the familiar taste and known decadence (25% fat) and adds airy texture matters to the deal. The result is a little dangerous (if you are trying to keep a bit of nutritional-caloric modesty) and very successful, and works great – even better than the original, due to the lightness – both as a base for a sandwich and directly from the container.

The local beverage brand makes a much-needed summery comeback in a double hot-season format.

Prigat’s popsicle drink series, in a limited edition of course, contains three flavors – apricot, raspberry, and pineapple – ready to pour and equally ready to freeze. They are nostalgic to some extent, sweet in an inspiring way, and generally succeed in doing what they are supposed to do – cooling, tempering, aerating.

One of the most justified editions of the Israeli legend returns to the shelves, with very ambitious cooling goals.

Osem-Nestlé’s Bamba filled with iced coffee cream entered our lives for the first time about seven years ago, as part of the longtime snack’s combinations series. Like its companions, it works on the border between sweet and salty, crunchy and creamy. Like its companions, it recommends freezing before devouring. Like its companions, little remains of the bag seconds after opening.
