Settler extremists accused of cutting electricity, water to Palestinian homes • Locals describe feeling helpless as Ben-Gvir says some settlers "must be stopped"

Palestinian local Qusai Abu Ridi told the Post settlers remain near the family’s home, despite military efforts to remove them, leaving the family fearful of further attacks.

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee used unusually strong language to condemn Israelis involved in violence against a Palestinian family in Qusra, calling them "Israeli terrorists."

Earlier on Wednesday, the IDF began lifting the siege imposed by a group of settlers on two homes in the Palestinian village of Kusra, which is located in Area B of the West Bank.

Extremists appear to be dismantling fences, blocking roads, and besieging the area near Kusra, in footage seen by The Jerusalem Post.

The IDF specifically called an extremist settler takeover of Palestinian property near Kusra and Jalud “illegal, reprehensible, and unacceptable.”

Prosecutors sought conditions tying Dardik’s release to a revised military order, but the court rejected the request and ordered him freed.

This comes after an order barring Israeli protective presence activists, who work to protect Palestinian residents within the West Bank, from around the town of Taiba, near Ramallah. 

Security establishment figures showed a sharp rise in West Bank nationalist crime, alongside more Palestinian casualties and attacks on security personnel.

Dardik is suspected of involvement in attacks against Palestinians and other nationalist-motivated offenses, including a suspected attack in March.
