Bruce Springsteen's new protest song, "Streets of Minneapolis," honors Alex Pretti and Renee Good, victims of US immigration raids, as he critiques Trump’s policies.

The Department of Homeland Security said the two immigration agents who discharged their weapons during the deadly encounter with Alex Pretti were put on leave as part of standard procedures.

"We need to unify. We need to unify. I'm calling for unity," the first lady said, adding US President Donald Trump, spoke with the mayor of Minneapolis and the governor of Minnesota.

The attack occurred shortly after Omar began speaking. Witnesses said a man in the audience stood, shouted, and sprayed her with a liquid that had an acidic smell.

Trump's handling of immigration problems is hurting him among his own supporters, which could reverberate in November’s midterm elections.

Asked whether he agreed with administration officials who described Pretti as a domestic terrorist, Trump said: "I haven't heard that, but certainly shouldn't have been carrying a gun."

He was responding to Walz's saying, “We have got children in Minnesota hiding in their houses, afraid to go outside. Many of us grew up reading that story of Anne Frank.”

The administration’s focus on Minnesota and its reversal of some policies there may have ramifications for US foreign policy. First of all, it has shifted the White House’s focus.

According to CNN, Bovino and a group of his agents are expected to leave Minneapolis on Tuesday and return to their respective sectors, according to three sources familiar with the discussions.

Rabbi Emma Kippley-Ogman, the Jewish and interfaith chaplain at Macalester College, was briefly detained by police alongside leaders of other faiths while staging a protest at the airport.
