The grant program has become a cornerstone of security planning for Jewish institutions across the United States, especially in the wake of sometimes deadly attacks.

According to NBC News, no casualties or injuries resulting from the attack have been reported, other than the suspected shooter, who was killed.  

The attack was planned in a Discord chat room by a group named "Islamic State of America," NBC reported.

According to Carter, Tlaib attacked Democrats and Republicans for supporting Israel, describing them as "sellouts."

Protests, anti-American rhetoric, and support for Gaza’s “liberation” dominated speeches at the People’s Conference, attended by political figures like Tlaib and Stein.

Event organizers said that they rejected attempts by pro-Israel figures and media to "smear and silence" the conference and would not "cower in the face of their attacks."

“I think overwhelmingly, the public is not antisemitic, but they need information," said Detroit Archbishop Edward Weisenburger.

Shaheen was released on February 1 along with hundreds of other terrorists as part of a ransom paid exchange for live and deceased hostages captured by Gazan forces during the October 7 Massacre.

Rafeedie, who ran a clandestine publishing house for the PFLP during the 1980s, also appeared at the same conference as Tlaib in May.

Rabbi Asher Lopatin, community relations director at the Jewish Federation of Greater Ann Arbor, called Al “BJ” Williams’s remarks “blatantly antisemitic.”
