An Israeli official told The Jerusalem Post that the Israeli representative spoke directly with the Lebanese representative and that another meeting is expected to take place soon.

The soldiers were all from the Golani Brigade and were performing patrol duties when they were attacked.

The talks come one year after a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah, which Israeli officials say is eroding.

The ceasefire is unsustainable. Lebanon’s government and armed forces are unwilling and unable to confront Hezbollah, making enforcement impossible.

Earlier on Sunday, the IDF confirmed that they killed Hamas battalion commanders, along with other terrorist operatives.

Itzik Gvili addressed the crowd gathered at Hostage Square for the final weekly protest on Saturday night, denouncing Hamas as "playing and mocking us."

A "recently recruited" Hamas terrorist who "regretted" his decision to join the terror group surrendered to IDF soldiers after crossing Gaza’s Yellow Line, a US official told CBS News.

“Hezbollah is recovering day by day, and patience - both Israel’s and America’s - is beginning to run out, which may lead to an escalation in activity,” the officials said.

Mediators conveyed the offer, which included a clause permitting return to Gaza if the terrorists disarm, to Hamas leaders, but received no answer, N12 reported.

As the US-backed multinational force stalls, IDF troops building the "Green Rafah" city project in eastern Rafah encountered terrorists emerging from a tunnel.

Under the original US-backed plan, which has since been revised, Ukraine would lose Crimea and most of the Donbas region, including parts that have not officially been taken by Russia.
