The budget is to be taken from government decision 550, which was approved in 2021 to reduce economic and social gaps between Arab society and the rest of the population.

"We will continue to fight in every arena, in Israel and abroad, until we eradicate crime and ensure personal security for every citizen," said Odeh.

Law enforcement officers also conducted raids on several businesses in northern Israel that were suspected of being involved with Arab-sector organized crime.

The budget will be funded from the 550 Plan budget, which was led by the previous government and is currently under the authority of Minister May Golan.

In the same incident, Jonathan Khouri, an 18-year-old Arab Christian resident of the city’s Hadar neighborhood, was killed, while a third young man was hospitalized and remains in serious condition.

The meeting comes after five people were murdered in four separate incidents in Taiba, Kalansuwa, Jaffa, and Holon within less than 12 hours.

On Monday, a Jaffa resident in his 30s lightly injured three in a shooting incident on Shmuel ben Adiya Street. Seperately, Rajed Abd al-Hadi, a 22-year-old influencer, was shot at a hookah lounge.

In Yafia, two men in their 30s were fatally shot. Magen David Adom paramedics reported treating the two men for penetrating wounds shortly before reporting that the men had both died at the scene.
