Ankara rejected allegations made by Jerusalem that the deployment of Turkish forces violated the “status quo” and posed a threat to Israel’s security.

A source familiar with the details told The Jerusalem Post that Israel recently provided the US with intelligence on attempts by Syria to build up its military capabilities.

Shortly after criticism emerged from within the defense establishment over the pragmatism the government showed toward Trump's peace plan, a decision was made to completely halt targeted killings.

“We won’t retreat from the current lines until Hamas lays down all of its arms,” Netanyahu said in the video, adding that “we will allow IDF troops to do everything necessary to protect themselves."

He added that “nothing gets through to Iran, unless we want it to, and nothing will get through, unless a deal, or total surrender, is accomplished.”

The scale of the US strikes on Iran on Thursday was "about twice the size of the previous night," a source told The Jerusalem Post, adding that the strikes were "wide, extensive, and impactful."

Several locations in southern Iran were targeted by US forces, with explosions heard in the cities of Bushehr, Abu Musa, Kish Island, Ahwaz, and Qeshm Island, Iranian state media Press TV reported.

US CENTCOM said that American forces and “the Saudi Arabian Armed Forces conducted precision strikes in Iraq, July 28, against Iran-aligned terrorists that the IRGC directed to attack US forces."

Bahrain and Kuwait secretly carried out airstrikes on Iranian drone and missile sites earlier this month, marking their first direct retaliation against Tehran, The Wall Street Journal reported.

"The strikes are designed to continue degrading Iran's ability to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz," the US Central Command said in a statement on X.
