The E3 have said they would restore UN sanctions on Tehran via the so-called "snapback mechanism" by the end of August if nuclear talks between Iran and the US before the Israel-Iran war don't resume.

Iranian Foreign Minister visited China to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting, which comes as China and Pakistan also discuss a new economic corridor.

“We will have bilateral meetings with the Chinese foreign minister, which naturally has its own importance in the current situation, as well as with the Russian foreign minister,” Abbas Araqchi said.

The two discussed relations and the latest regional developments, Saudi state news agency SPA said.

The bill, titled ‘Suspension of the Islamic Republic's Cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency with a Two-Urgency Requirement,’ was originally put forward in parliament last month.

"No one exactly knows what has transpired in Fordow. That being said, what we know so far is that the facilities have been seriously and heavily damaged," Araghchi said

This comes after the US president said that diplomatic talks with Iran could resume this week, though the White House noted that no talks were scheduled.

The decision was made because the agency's Director-General, Rafael Grossi, facilitated a resolution against the Islamic Republic by the IAEA's Board of Governors that was "politically motivated."

The Iranian foreign minister said Tehran was assessing whether talks with the US were in its interest, following five previous rounds of negotiations that were cut short by Israel and the US attacks.
