The University of Massachusetts Lowell went into lockdown on Wednesday as authorities investigated a report of an armed male on campus, according to the Boston ATF. The lockdown was later lifted.
The individual was captured on video holding what appeared to be a gun near the dorm buildings, but no active shooting was reported.
The Lowell Police Department reported that the FBI, the ATF, multiple K9s, Massachusetts State Troopers, and a drone, as well as other law enforcement resources, were deployed in the search.
UMass Lowell lifted the lockdown following the search with no suspect or weapons located on campus.
