Italy's antisemitism definition vote draws staunch criticism despite no criminal provisions

Italy's Senate passed the bill adopting the IHRA definition into Italian law by a vote of 105–24, with 21 abstentions, on March 4, 2026. The bill is now in general debate in the Chamber of Deputies.
