Acclaimed American actress Sydney Sweeney wore a dress designed by Israeli fashion designer Galia Lahav to the Los Angeles premiere of The Housemaid.

“A perfect match of Hollywood glamour and Israeli couture,” Israel’s embassy to the US wrote on social media. “We were so thrilled to see Sydney Sweeney wearing a dress designed by one of Israel's most acclaimed fashion designers, Galia Lahav, at the Los Angeles premiere of The Housemaid movie.”

The white dress and its dramatic neckline were inspired by the famous gown worn by Jewish beauty icon Marilyn Monroe, according to Ynet.

“Seeing Sydney Sweeney glowing on the red carpet in a design we created just for her, inspired by Marilyn Monroe, is a dream come true,” Galia Lahav told Ynet. “Having her choose us again is deeply moving and strengthens the special bond we’ve formed.

"She’s the biggest star in the world right now, and this is truly an incredible moment. Every gown we make is more than just a dress; it’s a story, a moment, a dream come to life. I’m incredibly proud of my team."

This is not the first time Sweeney has selected a dress by Lahav; she reportedly wore one of her designer gowns to Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez's wedding.
