Col. (Res.) Hezi Nechama, who neutralized the terrorist who committed the terror attack on Tuesday afternoon, recalled the event in an interview with Aryeh Eldad and David Wertheim on 103FM.

“I passed through the junction and heard the sound of a crash behind me,” Nechama said. “I looked in the mirror and saw a vehicle colliding with the bus stop. I looked around and saw that everyone was continuing to drive on the road.”

“I stopped the car and got out,” he said, describing the moment he realized this was a terror attack. “I saw wounded people with blood on them. Then I saw a man get out of the offending vehicle. I hesitated whether this was an attacker or an accident."

"I heard someone shout, ‘He has a knife.’ I shouted to him to stop in Arabic, which triggered him, and he began a frenzied run toward me. I fired two shots at his legs. I saw that I hit, but he kept running. I shot him in the center of mass, and he fell.”

Nechama added, “In my opinion, he was drugged. I shouted at him, and he continued advancing toward me. I shot him, and he fell. The word 'neutralized' is a euphemism; it has no place in this context. Terrorists must be killed.”
