Hosted byEagles’ Wings, the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem (DPPJ) and Awake Jerusalem brought together believers from across the nations for a historic moment of worship, prayer, and awakening at the Tower of David near Jaffa Gate. From 4:00–5:30 PM EST, Jewish andChristian friendsjoined for the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem, lifting their voices in unity to declare God’s promises of peace over the city and the people of Israel. The event was attended by Israel’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, who stated, "I hope that we are the closest to a hostage deal since the deal in January. And I want to thank President Donald Trump for all his efforts regarding this huge mission of bringing all our hostages back home [..]. The Israeli government has a commitment to bring home all the hostages - dead and alive." The Mayor of Jerusalem also in attendance, added his heartfelt words, "At the heart of all our prayers is the return of the hostages, the end to the war and the beginning of a new chapter in our region, so we pray to see our loved ones home as speedily as possible." Since its founding in 2002, DPPJ has mobilized millions of believers from over 175 nations to intercede for Jerusalem—affirming Psalm 122:6, “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: may they prosper who love you.” Bishop Robert Stearns, ''When we pray and worship together here, we are shaping history.” (credit: Dudu Koren) Later in the evening, the celebration continued as Awake Jerusalem transformed the Tower of David into a vibrant center of praise and proclamation. The evening of worship featured award-winning artists and global influencers including Nate Diaz, Paul Wilbur, David Binion, Bryson Rory, Ross Johnston, among others. Together, these back-to-back gatherings reflected the heartbeat of a growing global movement—one that believes Jerusalem is not only the center of biblical history but the epicenter of God’s redemptive future for the nations. Bishop Robert Stearns, Founder and Executive Director of Eagles’ Wings, said, “As the world’s eyes are once again on Jerusalem, we stand shoulder to shoulder—Jew and Christian, Israeli and international—declaring that God’s covenant promises still stand. This is more than a concert or a prayer meeting; it is a prophetic sign that hope and restoration are rising from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth. When we pray and worship together here, we are shaping history.” The convergence of the Day of Prayer and Awake Jerusalem also marked the culmination of the Watchmen on the Wall Tour, which brought hundreds of Christian leaders and believers to Israel this year to walk the ancient paths, meet local leaders, and strengthen ties between the church and Israel. As day turned to night, worship echoed through the stones of the Old City, declaring that peace—not conflict—will have the final word over Jerusalem.
