Southern District Police, Border Guard members, and other law enforcement members were active in the village of Tarabin as part of "Operation New Order" on Wednesday, police said.
The operation is part of a campaign intended to crack down on crime.
Over the course of the day, motorcycle patrols wrote 108 traffic tickets and confiscated two all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and a dirt bike, which were transferred for forfeiture proceedings.
Nine other suspects were also arrested in Tarabin, with an improvised weapon being seized.
In addition, detectives arrested 11 illegal residents in Jenin and Nablus as part of the operation, bringing them in for questioning.
Criminals store stolen IDF weapons on kindergarten roof
Based on intelligence gathered, the Rahat police and National Guard soldiers raided a kindergarten in Rahat. During the raid, they located weaponry stolen from the IDF that was stored there by criminals, police confirmed.
The IDF has discovered weapons hidden in places meant for children several times before.
On December 25, forces located approximately 10 mortar bombs hidden inside a children’s blanket in a residential building in the Beit Hanun area.
