Israeli rescue forces aided a driver whose vehicle had fallen down a ten-meter cliff at the Nataf Quarries in Binyamin, the Israeli Fire and Rescue Authority announced on Monday.
The vehicle had fallen on its roof, and the driver was injured and trapped inside.
Fire and Rescue forces used specialized tools to extract the driver, following which he was flown by helicopter to a hospital for treatment.
Driver in serious condition, Hatzalah says
According to Hatzalah, which provided initial treatment on the scene, the driver is considered in serious condition.
"This is a driver who, while working in a quarry, overturned his vehicle and fell from a height of ten meters onto the roof of the vehicle," the Fire and Rescue incident commander stated.
"Upon arriving at the scene, I conducted a rapid assessment of the situation, at the conclusion of which we began the driver's rescue operations, removing the vehicle doors and creating space for the driver to be removed. Upon completion of the rescue operations, the driver was evacuated by helicopter to the hospital."
