Lockdown protocols have been lifted at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in Burlington County, New Jersey, CBS News reported on Tuesday.
The lockdown was implemented following a possible active shooter situation on base, KAN reported.
Following the lockdown announcement, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy posted to X/Twitter, calling for those on base to "follow the instructions of [their] commanders and emergency response officials."
Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst has since posted an official all-clear on its social media, saying, "ALL CLEAR. ALL CLEAR. ALL CLEAR."
CBS News Philadelphia has reached out to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst for more information, but has yet to receive a reply.
This is a developing story.
