James Richardson–Heinemann Duty Free announced the reopening of the duty free store at the Jordan River Crossing border checkpoint, following a comprehensive renovation and redesign inspired by the Terminal 1 store at Ben Gurion Airport.
The renovated store, spanning an area of approximately 500 square meters, features a significant expansion of the product and brand variety, alongside the opening of new departments and a more updated shopping experience.
Among the innovations at the venue: A toy department with international and local brands, a new Travel department with travel accessories and gadgets, as well as a dedicated Mini Market stand for travel-size products – including perfumes, skincare products, and makeup in reduced sizes suitable for flights and travels.
The company notes that as part of the upgrade, niche perfume brands and trendy brands targeting a younger audience were also added, as part of an effort to refresh the store's product mix.
In addition, the James Richardson customer club will also be valid at the border crossing stores, allowing club members to enjoy the same benefits and promotions familiar from the stores at Ben Gurion Airport.
Shani Inbar Kriti, VP of Marketing at James Richardson–Heinemann, stated that: "We see great importance in making a full and diverse duty free experience accessible to passengers choosing land border crossings as well. The new store offers a wider range of brands, new categories, and advanced services."
James Richardson currently operates duty free stores in Terminals 1 and 3 at Ben Gurion Airport, at the Taba and Jordan River border crossings, at Ramon Airport, and on Israir's international flights.
