A new family hybrid crossover enters the crowded and competitive market: Parisby, the importer of Chinese Chery vehicles, launched a hybrid version of the FX, which is already sold in gasoline and electric versions.
The FX measures 4.45 meters in length, 1.82 meters in width, 1.59 meters in height, with a wheelbase of 2.61 meters. The trunk offers a capacity of 372 liters. It will compete with models such as the Hyundai Kona, Kia Niro, and Nissan Juke hybrids, but at a significantly lower price: Starting from NIS 153,000, similar to the gasoline and electric versions.
The hybrid version features a 1.5-liter turbo gasoline engine producing 143 hp, an electric motor with 204 hp, and a relatively high combined output of 246 hp with a total torque of 34.4 kg·m. It has front-wheel drive and a battery capacity of 1.8 kWh.
According to the manufacturer, the car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds, reaches a top speed of 175 km/h, and achieves a combined fuel consumption of 18.8 km per liter.
The basic Comfort trim (from NIS 153,000) includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch multimedia system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay mirroring, climate control with rear-seat vents, a rearview camera, and front and rear parking sensors.
The Luxury trim (NIS 160,000) adds electrically adjustable front seats with ventilation and heating, synthetic leather upholstery, a power sunroof, ambient lighting, 360-degree cameras, wireless smartphone charging, and an upgraded audio system.
Safety features include autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure prevention, and blind-spot monitoring. The FX received a 5 out of 5-star rating in the 2022 European crash test.
Since the beginning of the year, around 5,000 FX models have been registered on Israeli roads, placing it among the ten best-selling cars in the country. 4,000 of these were electric, but 2,000 of them failed to find buyers 12 months after arrival and were registered as used vehicles without ever hitting the road. The hybrid version is expected to see stronger demand: The Hyundai Kona hybrid is the second best-selling car in Israel, with about 9,500 deliveries this year.
