Senator Chuck Schumer's offices in Rochester, Binghamton, and Long Island, New York, received bomb threats on Monday morning, the senior Democrat confirmed on X/Twitter.
The threats contained "MAGA" in the email subject line and were sent from an address that alleged that the "2020 election was rigged," Schumer added.
He noted that he was informed of the threat by New York law enforcement, who, along with federal agents, responded "immediately" and conducted full security sweeps.
"Everyone is safe, and I am grateful for their quick and professional response to ensure these offices remain safe and secure for all New Yorkers," Schumer said.
"As I have said many times, these kinds of violent threats have absolutely no place in our political system. No one—no public servant, no staff member, no constituent, no citizen—should ever be targeted for simply doing their job," he concluded.
Schumer also read his statement on the Senate Floor on Monday, NBC News reported.
A law enforcement source confirmed to Associated Press that Suffolk County police responded to Schumer’s Long Island office but were unable to confirm the details of the threat.
The source commented on condition of anonymity as the investigation is ongoing.
The US Capitol Police declined AP's request for comment, saying they do not discuss member security for safety reasons.

After US President Donald Trump called for her arrest on grounds of sedition, Michigan police on November 21 responded to a bomb threat at Jewish senator Elissa Slotkin’s home, her office announced.
The Democratic Senator from Michigan was away from home at the time, her office noted, adding that police searched the property and confirmed that no one was in danger.
