Following last year's success, Israeli Tourism Month returns in November with hundreds of activities priced at NIS 18, about 1,000 guided tours across the country, and discounts on attractions, experiences, and accommodation packages. The initiative, spearheaded by the Tourism Ministry, will be held for the second time this year and will span four main regions of the country.
As part of the initiative, travelers can choose from approximately 1,000 guided tours led by tour guides nationwide, including tours along the Israel National Trail. Alongside the tours, hundreds of cultural, nature, sports, and culinary activities will be offered at a price of NIS 18.
Those who prefer a vacation longer than a single day will also find hotel accommodation packages across the country, alongside hundreds of attractions and tourist experiences offered at discounts of about 25% or more.
Performances by leading artists at a price of NIS 18 are also planned as part of the initiative this year in the main activity areas.
Israeli Tourism Month is designed to encourage domestic tourism specifically during the period between the summer vacations and the holidays, and to provide activity for tourism businesses across the country. The Tourism Ministry notes that the step is also intended to support businesses and families who make their living from tourism, during a period when incoming tourism is still recovering.
Tourism Ministry Director-General Michael Izhakov said that following last year's demand, the project was expanded this year, including through collaboration with tour guides and tourism businesses. "Domestic tourism is a significant anchor for the industry's resilience, especially at a time when incoming tourism is still in the process of recovery. Tourism Month is part of the ministry's broad policy to strengthen demand, generate economic activity throughout the country, and support businesses and families whose livelihood depends on tourism."
In preparation for the initiative, the Tourism Ministry published a call for proposals inviting hotels, restaurants, attractions, tour guides, and bed and breakfasts across the country to join.
