Just before the Iran war started, I headed to Georgia to explore Kass Land, a unique resort in the Tsalka Canyon Nature Reserve, which that boasts a spa hotel, the suspended glass Diamond Bridge, a one-of-a-kind family adventure park, and a kosher restaurant.

Kass Land Diamond Resort was built and is managed by the Israeli Kass Group in partnership with the Sagol family.

It officially opened in June 2022. Kass Land has transformed Georgia’s Tsalka Canyon nature reserve into a significant, vast, active, attractive, and accessible tourist destination.

The site is in Georgia’s Dashbashi region, an hour and a half’s drive from the capital, Tbilisi. It spans an area of approximately 200 hectares, situated about 1,500 meters above sea level. It includes the Diamond Bridge, a resort village, a hotel, a restaurant, and a variety of unique and new attractions.

Luxury in Georgia

The luxurious Diamond Resort Hotel is now fully open. It offers 120 spacious and upscale guest rooms, many of which are large villas perfect for couples and families. These rooms and villas come with all the amenities you need for a relaxing and luxurious vacation, right in the heart of endless nature.

Guests at the resort can also enjoy a spa, a heated pool, and conference halls. One of the hotel’s new features is a kosher restaurant, which operates Sunday through Thursday, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

We arrived at the hotel in the afternoon. After settling into the spacious room with the high ceiling and a balcony overlooking the view, I went out to explore the surroundings. Just across the road from the hotel is the reserve. I started at the Diamond Bridge – the main attraction. It’s impressive even before you step onto it. The bridge is 240 meters long and rises approximately 280 meters above the canyon floor, featuring a diamond-shaped bar at its center!

Walking on the bridge requires courage because part of its floor is transparent. Every step is a thrill in itself. However, the peak of the experience is the bar, which is entirely transparent. From all sides, the canyon view is revealed, and every movement is a thrilling experience.

Adjacent to both sides of the bridge are two attractions. On the far side, there’s an extreme swing, and on the near side, cable bikes are suspended in the air. When you’re secured with several levels of safety, ride the bikes from one side of the canyon to the other, an adrenaline-filled experience for the brave only!

I had to do the route twice to overcome the fear barrier and enjoy the ride. On the second round, I slowed down during the ride, looked around and down, and enjoyed being suspended between sky and earth, taking in the open view and the wind in my hair.

We ended the day with a festive sunset dinner at the on-site restaurant overlooking the cliff, accompanied by an authentic Georgian folklore performance.

The next morning, I started the day early with a walk down to the Dashbashi waterfalls. The waterfalls are accessible via a modern iron pathway equipped with sturdy railings and elevated viewing platforms, allowing us to stop and take in the panoramic view of the impressive canyon with its cliffs and lush vegetation.

Afterwards, we continued on a path, mostly paved, all the way down to the stream at the bottom of the canyon. The trail is well-maintained but is suitable only for experienced hikers, featuring stairs and steep inclines. The stream is beautiful, and the waterfalls are equally lovely. We returned with a vehicle that drove us back up. For those who find it difficult, you can go and return with the car and save a lot of walking.

We spent the rest of the day at the attraction parks, which provided an impressive and unforgettable experience.

The park boasted a challenging rope-climbing park, a wide variety of slides that provided adrenaline for all ages, a crazy high-altitude tubing track that got our hearts racing, and various other facilities for complementary and enjoyable entertainment.

Afterwards, we moved on to even more adrenaline-pumping activities. We indulged in an exciting karting experience, where we could compete and enjoy the thrill of speed, and embarked on an SUV and ATV tour, which revealed breathtaking landscapes and added a touch of adventure to the day. Without a doubt, it was an afternoon packed with adrenaline and exciting experiences!

As evening approached, it was time to relax and pamper ourselves. We took a refreshing dip in the indoor heated pool, enjoyed a soothing session in the diverse saunas, and surrendered to a luxurious spa experience.

The spa complex itself was opulent and meticulously designed, featuring a heated pool, various saunas for body purification, a pampering Jacuzzi, and spacious, well-designed treatment rooms. Some of the latter even offered windows with stunning views, adding to the serene and relaxing experience.

Kass Land resort is situated in an area characterized by pristine and endless natural expanses, a unique biological diversity of flora and fauna, numerous waterfalls, and a vast canyon carved into volcanic rocks by the Khrami River.

Kass Land serves as a pristine green lung. The principle guiding the developers throughout the entire development process of the reserve and the site was to preserve the natural treasures and integrate the attractions within them.

During the development work, no trees were uprooted, and no natural treasures were destroyed; instead, they were made accessible to visitors who can experience nature at its peak intensity throughout their stay at the site. The principle of nature conservation also guided the developers during the site’s development and the establishment of the resort and new attractions.

Tomer Mor Yosef, VP of Kass Group, says, “Kass Land is a unique and exceptional tourist site, unparalleled in Eastern Europe, that combines recreation, attractions, extreme activities, and culinary experiences within a nature reserve boasting breathtaking views. We are delighted to inaugurate today a new hotel and a variety of attractions for the entire family, which will make the site the preferred alternative among families and attract hundreds of thousands of additional visitors each year.

“Since the site’s launch, we have worked to find the most unique attractions in the world and tailor a variety of extraordinary experiences for visitors. This project is a product of Israeli creation, and we feel great pride in it.”

You can visit and enjoy the reserve and attraction parks as a day trip from Tbilisi. However, it’s recommended to stay here for two to three nights to truly experience the variety of attractions and the charming reserve.

With its diverse offerings, the resort caters perfectly to couples seeking relaxation and adventure, as well as families and those traveling with young adults looking for memorable experiences together.

For those who prefer an extended vacation, there’s an option to spend more time here enjoying the attractions, the hotel’s facilities, and taking day trips in the area.
