After the former CEO of Astronomer was caught engaging romantically with a woman not his wife on a Jumbotron at a Coldplay concert, the company hired award-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow as a temporary spokesperson.

“I’ve been hired on a very temporary basis to speak on behalf of the 300-plus employees at Astronomer,” Paltrow said in the clip shared on the company’s Instagram on Friday night, adding that Astronomer had received “a lot of questions over the last few days.”

Despite the viral scandal, Paltrow focused only on the business dealings of the New York firm.

Gwyneth Paltrow's relationship to Coldplay

Beyond being a star-studded name, the company’s decision to hire Paltrow has tickled many who followed the viral scandal.

Paltrow is the ex-wife of Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, who accidentally revealed the CEO’s intimate moment at the Boston concert.

“Whoa, look at these two,” Martin had said as the pair hid from the jumbotron. “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”

Astronomer CEO Andy Byron resigned from his position last week following the recorded affair with Astronomer's HR chief Kristin Cabot.

In a statement posted on X/Twitter, Astronomer reaffirmed its commitment to the values and culture that have shaped the company since its founding.

"Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met," the company said. "Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted it. The Board will now begin the search for our next Chief Executive as Co-founder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy continues to serve as interim CEO."
