Chairwoman of MDA Women, Mrs. Dovrat Weizer, hosted a festive evening at her home to launch the new year, in the presence of Ms. Orly Ariel, CEO of the MDA Friends Association. The evening centered around presenting the flagship program for the upcoming year, "Adopt a Paramedic"- aimed at raising resources to train new paramedics.

Currently, there is a need for 600 paramedics annually. These professionals are certified to perform unique life-saving procedures in the field, with training costs amounting to 25,000 NIS per year over a three-year period. During the evening, paramedic Orianne Lucatz spoke about the significance of saving lives and provided the guests with defibrillator training, ensuring each participant would know how to save lives.

Additionally, Weizer noted that throughout the year, the spotlight will be given to strong and influential women from the MDA Women's Circle. The first evening featured Mrs. Paula Blik, a businesswoman and beauty empire owner who volunteers as a medic with MDA. Blik shared her journey to volunteering and its personal significance for her.

At the panel's conclusion, Weizer announced she was opening the fundraising with a donation of 25,000 NIS, adopting a paramedic for a full year. Blik immediately joined her with an identical donation.

Among the evening's participants were: Hanna Pri-Zan, board member of the Friends Association and chairwoman of the Finance Committee; businesswoman Ortal Ulman; real estate entrepreneur Reuvat Ravon Aharonov; Prof. Ilana Levenberg, Acting President of Gordon Academic College; Shlomit Erdan and others.
