Hapoel Haifa Soccer Club will hold a special and emotional memorial ceremony on Saturday, minutes before the kickoff of its match against Maccabi Petah Tikva, in memory of the club's fans who were murdered and fell during the Swords of Iron war, the October 7 massacre, and Operation Roaring Lion.
The ceremony, which will be held in the presence of players from both teams and the bereaved families, will be dedicated to the memory of the heroic fans who lost their lives defending the homeland and in terrorist attacks. Oren Agmon, father of St.-Sgt. Adam Agmon, will speak on behalf of the bereaved families.
Among the fallen to be commemorated at the ceremony, the memory of May Naim will be particularly personal and close to the club. Mai, the granddaughter of former national team coach Shlomo Scharf, was murdered at the Nova music festival on October 7. May is the sister of team player Tal Naim, who is expected to take part in the emotional event.
