Israel will 'respond accordingly' following another Hamas violation of the ongoing ceasefire in Gaza, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed on Wednesday.

"The Hamas terror organization continues to violate the ceasefire and President Trump’s 20-point plan," Netanyahu said.

This statement followed an IDF announcement that a combat officer was wounded when an improvised explosive device detonated on an armored vehicle during an IDF operation in the Rafah area of the Gaza Strip on Wednesday.

The officer sustained light injuries and was evacuated to a hospital for treatment. The IDF confirmed that his family has been notified.

Hamas continues to refuse disarmament

Hamas's "ongoing and continuing public refusal to disarm is an ongoing flagrant violation and again today their violent intentions and violations were confirmed by their detonation of an IED that wounded an IDF officer," the PMO continued. "Hamas must be held to the agreement that they signed on which includes removal from governance, demilitarization and de-radicalization."

Under the terms of the ceasefire agreement, Hamas was expected to step down from governance, disarm, and pursue de-radicalization. However, the group has not complied with these conditions.
