President Isaac Herzog spoke to evangelical influencers with hundreds of millions of followers:

“Israel is fighting the battle of the entire free world. I thank President Trump for his efforts to end the war and bring the hostages home.”

The meeting concluded with a moving joint prayer of “Amen” for the hostages’ return and the end of the war.

President Isaac Herzog and First Lady Michal Herzog hosted a delegation of 70 evangelical influencers and opinion leaders from around the world — supporters of Israel from the Eagles’ Wings organization, collectively reaching an audience of over 300 million followers on social media. The event was held at the President’s Residence in Jerusalem, on the eve of the Sukkot holiday.

President Herzog told the delegation:

“We are deeply grateful to President Trump, who has almost single-handedly led a strategic shift toward ending the war and securing the release of the hostages. We are all praying for his success, for the return of our hostages, and for the establishment of peace throughout the region.”

Addressing the group, Herzog added:

“You are true ambassadors of Israel, and I thank you for standing so firmly with us in this battle of light against darkness. We are fighting the battle of the entire free world, struggling for the future of our children and the children of many nations in this region.”

The President further noted:

“Israel relies on its sons and daughters serving in the army — including my own son — because we have no choice but to fight enemies on multiple fronts. The terrorist organizations in Gaza use civilians as human shields, hiding weapons and rocket factories inside children’s rooms, schools, and mosques. Despite this, the IDF acts with morality, and the ratio of civilian casualties compared to other armies, including in Iraq and Afghanistan, is the lowest. The peace-loving residents of Kibbutz Be’eri and Nir Oz used to transport Palestinian patients to Israeli hospitals — and they were among the first to be murdered on October 7. This is the difference between us, the people of peace, and the people of darkness in the terror organizations.”

First Lady Michal Herzog added:

“I devote much of my time to helping women who survived sexual assaults on October 7. These are horrific and unbearable testimonies. Women were raped, tortured, and murdered. Look at what happened in Syria in the Druze massacre, and you will understand — Israel is fighting for the entire free world, including for the Druze women and babies in Syria.”

The visit was organized by Eagles’ Wings, founded by Bishop Robert Stearns, one of the most prominent Evangelical voices supporting Israel. Three decades ago, he launched what has been called the ‘Birthright project’ for the Evangelical youth, bringing hundreds of young Christians to Israel every year to experience the country and become informal ambassadors upon returning home.

Bishop Robert Stearns remarked during the meeting:

“I am deeply concerned that Israel may lose the younger Evangelical generation. We are on the verge of that. If we do not act broadly and increase the necessary resources to strengthen the bonds between our communities, we may lose them.”
