Sergeant Idan Fooks, 19, was laid to rest in the Petah Tikva cemetery on Monday.
Fooks fell on Sunday after a drone exploded during a clash with Hezbollah terrorists in the southern Lebanese village of Al-Tayyiba.
Originally from Petah Tikva, Fooks served in the 7th Armored Brigade's 77th Battalion.
According to security sources, Fooks' unit was standing near a tank when a drone identified the soldiers and exploded nearby. Fooks died on the spot.
Six other soldiers were injured in the incident. Out of these, one officer and three soldiers were seriously wounded, one was moderately wounded, and the other was lightly wounded.
Fooks was posthumously promoted from Corporal to Sergeant, the IDF announced.

The IDF has continued to strike Hezbollah targets following the terror group’s violation of the ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon.
Senior Israeli officials have told their American counterparts that if Hezbollah continues attacking IDF soldiers, Israel will no longer maintain a restrained response.
