Firefighters rescued a couple and their child after they became trapped in their vehicle on Route 80 when the area was hit by flooding.
The operation was carried out under difficult terrain conditions, with rescue teams employing specialized equipment to reach the stranded family. Despite the challenges, all three were successfully extracted from the vehicle without injury.
They were then handed over to medical teams at the scene for examination and further care.
Multiple people trapped by floodwaters
Firefighters from the Southern District were called to the Halamoth Stream in the Negev after receiving reports of multiple people trapped by floodwaters. Crews conducted searches and extricated those stranded in rugged terrain.
In a separate incident, a man was rescued from the Sorek Stream after becoming trapped in his vehicle. He was transferred to medical personnel and was listed in mild condition.
