Israel's Fire and Rescue Authority rescued six people, including an infant, from an apartment fire in Beersheba on Sunday.
Firefighters responded to reports of an apartment fire in the city's Ein Gedi neighborhood and worked to rescue the residents from two separate floors of the building, the Fire and Rescue Authority stated.
Four of the residents were rescued from the seventh floor, while an additional two, including the infant, were rescued from the eighth floor.
Magen David Adom issued a subsequent statement clarifying that the six were evacuated to Soroka Medical Center, Beersheba, in a mild condition.
Residents suffer from smoke inhalation
The rescued individuals are showing signs of smoke inhalation, MDA added.
