Senior rabbi Dov Landau approved members of his community to hold a widespread protest this coming Sunday, haredi news outlets reported on Wednesday night.

This follows on from activists from the haredi (ultra-Orthodox) communities held protests in Jerusalem, Bnei Brak, and Beit Shemesh denouncing the arrest of haredim who attempted to dodge the IDF draft.

The police spokesperson shared video footage highlighting haredi activists blocking vehicles and the light rail tracks along Haim Bar-Lev Street, including throwing stones at passing vehicles.
