Idan Amedi is an Israeli singer and actor, widely recognized for his role in the television series Fauda. He served in the IDF reserves as part of the Combat Engineering Corps. On January 8, 2024, during operations in Gaza, he was seriously wounded in an explosion that killed six soldiers and wounded several others.

His wife, Miriam Amedi, is a social activist and nonprofit leader. She previously served as director of Link 20, an Israeli organization advocating for people with disabilities. She is currently the CEO of the Forum for Reservists’ Wives, which works to strengthen recognition of reservist families, advance policy, and provide practical solutions to support their resilience. When Idan was called to reserve duty, Miriam returned early from maternity leave to continue her professional and advocacy work while raising their two children.
