Roy Altman is a United States district judge for the Southern District of Florida. Appointed in 2019 at the age of 36, Altman became the youngest federal district court judge in the country and the youngest federal judge ever appointed in the Southern District of Florida.
In March 2025, he joined other federal judges from across the US and traveled to Israel to learn about the events of October 7 and Israel’s actions during the war from a judicial and legal perspective. In May, he was honored by JNF-USA’s Lawyers of Israel for his dedication to fighting antisemitism and anti-Zionism in South Florida and beyond.
