Australian journalist and commentator Sharri Markson is the investigations editor at The Australian and host of the prime-time opinion program Sharri, which airs on Sky News Australia four nights a week. Markson, who is Jewish, is known for her advocacy on behalf of Israel and her focus on coverage of antisemitism. Unlike many international correspondents, Markson has taken a clear, pro-Israel stance in her reporting, and says that she has received death threats for her outspoken coverage.
In August 2025, Markson conducted an exclusive interview with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in which Netanyahu criticized Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, accusing the Labor government of betraying Israel and empowering Hamas through weakness and appeasement.
