Price wars in the car market are spilling over beyond electric and plug-in vehicles.

In recent weeks, the Toyota Corolla Hybrid was relaunched after a year and a half of import stoppage, courtesy of Recep Tayyip Erdogan, at a price of NIS 160,000, NIS 10,000 less than its last price in 2024. The current model is slightly less equipped, but we do not recall such a discount on a Toyota, especially when hybrid sales in Israel are thriving.

Shortly afterward, Skoda importer Champion Motors announced price reductions across its model range, with the Octavia, competing with the Corolla, receiving a relatively large discount. The 1.5-liter base version with 116 hp was reduced by NIS 4,500 to NIS 160,000, and another version was discounted by NIS 3,000 to NIS 165,000.

Now, Mazda importer Delek Motors is running a promotion for cars that will be delivered from January and classified as 2026 models. Although the 3 is currently the cheapest model in the Japanese manufacturer’s lineup in Israel, it received the largest discount among the sedan models, NIS 15,000. Thus, the base Comfort 3, according to American standards, with a 2,500 cc engine and 191 hp, costs from NIS 155,000, a reduction of about 9%. The turbo version in Spirit trim, which adds all-wheel drive and power increased to 227 hp, is offered at NIS 180,000.

The 3’s 5-door versions receive a NIS 10,000 discount: From NIS 175,000 for the 2.5-liter Spirit and from NIS 205,000 for the Turbo Premium.

Other Mazda models are also offered with a NIS 10,000 discount, some with additional equipment at no extra cost: CX-5 Comfort with a 2.5-liter engine and all-wheel drive is offered at NIS 175,000, and NIS 195,000 for the more equipped Turbo version.

The CX-90 with a 3.3-liter engine and 8 seats is offered at a starting price of NIS 280,000.

The promotion is valid until the end of the month, that is, until Wednesday.
