After a summer in which Israelis mostly sought nearby, simple, and affordable destinations, Sun d’Or of the El Al Group unveils its flight schedule for summer 2026 and adds two new destinations in Europe. Prices start at less than $300, and the direction is clear: Short vacations, flights of a few hours – and an accessible European experience.

The most notable addition to the flight schedule is Naples in southern Italy and Salzburg in Austria. Naples, one of Italy’s most vibrant cities, will offer round-trip flights starting at $299. In recent years, the city has attracted more and more tourists thanks to the combination of cuisine, rich history, and proximity to sites such as Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast.

Salzburg, the birthplace of Mozart and the gateway to Austria’s lake district, will join the schedule with prices starting at $349 – a destination aimed mainly at nature lovers, scenic views, and family trips.

The two new destinations join Sun d’Or’s existing 17 destinations, meaning that next summer the company will operate flights to a total of 19 destinations. Launch-price tickets are of the Lite type and include a trolley bag and a backpack.

Alongside the new additions, the flight schedule continues to focus on destinations that have already become especially popular among Israelis. The Greek islands continue to lead, with a combination of classics like Rhodes and Crete alongside premium destinations such as Mykonos and Santorini. Cyprus also remains on the map with Larnaca and Paphos.

Over the past year, there has been a clear increase in the popularity of Balkan and Eastern European destinations, and Sun d’Or continues this trend with flights to Tirana in Albania, Tivat in Montenegro, and Belgrade in Serbia – three destinations that have become hits among Israeli travelers. They are joined by Poland with Krakow and Warsaw, and Moldova with Chisinau.

Gal Gershon, CEO of Sun d’Or, stated that the new flight schedule was built according to the preferences of the Israeli audience. According to him, these are nearby, diverse, and affordable destinations, suitable for both family vacations and short trips in Europe. He added that Naples and Salzburg are natural additions to the schedule, alongside the classic destinations in the Mediterranean basin and the Balkan destinations that have gained popularity over the past year.

The new flight schedule is expected to start operating at the end of March 2026, marking an effort to attract Israelis back to short European vacations – without long flights and without prices climbing too high.
