LG continues to strengthen its QNED TV lineup with the LG QNED evo series, which represents a significant leap in brightness, contrast, and color accuracy thanks to tens of thousands of miniature LEDs powered by intelligent algorithms with separate lighting zones.
We reviewed the 55-inch model from the series. When watching high-quality 4K content, the screen delivers rich and accurate colors. The black levels are, of course, not as perfect as those found in OLED displays, but the contrast has certainly improved compared to standard LCD models.
The screens use Dynamic QNED Color technology, which provides a rich, precise, and particularly sharp color range, with an AI-based color analysis mechanism that creates a natural, sharp, and dynamic picture.
This screen, it should be noted, is also geared toward gamers. It offers a 120Hz refresh rate and a special mode called HGIG, designed to apply optimal HDR settings according to the TV’s performance range.
In addition, the television automatically detects when you switch to gaming mode and features low latency, ensuring you won’t miss a single movement during an important game.
The TV is powered by an advanced processor with improved processing performance and adaptation to the viewing conditions in the user’s environment. This innovative processor also upgrades lower-quality broadcast sources, dynamically adjusts HDR range, and enhances the clarity of faces and text in complex scenes.
The processor’s AI engine is also capable of recognizing content by genre. Based on this information, it delivers the optimal picture quality settings to provide better depth and detail.
The new TV line comes equipped with the latest version of the webOS operating system, featuring a personalized interface for each user, voice recognition, personalized content recommendations, and integration with Microsoft Copilot for executing tasks and searches directly from the screen.
The main drawback, as always with this type of series, is in the quality of black levels. Those who set up their TV in a dark room and watch a lot of dramatic films will feel the difference compared to OLED displays. On the other hand, for those seeking high brightness, vibrant colors, and a fast, smart screen, this model offers a well-balanced solution.
The new TVs are imported by LG’s official distributor in Israel, H.I. Group. LG OLED TVs come with a 3-year warranty, and in the LG OLED evo G5 series, the warranty on the panel is extended to five years.
The TVs are offered at varying price ranges depending on the series, screen size, and technological features. Exact prices may differ among authorized retailers.
