The Watch Everyone Is Waiting For: Apple’s main September event is approaching, and among the anticipated innovations is the new Apple Watch series. According to reports, Apple will present three models: Series 11, the Ultra 3 version aimed at extreme sports enthusiasts, and the basic SE 3 model. What is expected in each of them, and what technological innovations is Apple set to integrate?

Apple Watch Series 11

The new flagship watch will include a more powerful S11 chip, expected to improve operational speed and energy efficiency. One of the most talked-about innovations is a blood pressure monitoring sensor—for the first time on an Apple Watch—although at this stage it will not provide full systolic and diastolic measurements, but rather detect unusual trends that may indicate high blood pressure. In addition, blood oxygen measurement will return after legal issues were resolved, and a daily sleep rating may also be introduced. Connectivity is expected to be upgraded with 5G support, and the display will continue to use the more energy-efficient LTPO technology. In terms of design, no significant changes are expected, although new colors may be introduced.

Apple Watch Ultra 3

The new Ultra version is aimed at athletes and adventure enthusiasts. According to leaks, it will maintain the previous generation’s design, but the screen will be slightly larger and based on a wide-angle OLED panel with higher brightness. The watch will also include the new S11 chip and 5G support, and for the first time may support satellite communication, allowing emergency messages to be sent even in areas without cellular or Wi-Fi coverage. Health sensors will be expanded to include blood pressure and blood oxygen monitoring, while the new operating system, watchOS 26, will add AI-based features such as a personal training coach and advanced gesture controls.

Apple Watch SE 3

The base model is expected to receive the biggest refresh. Unlike previous generations that relied on older chips, the SE 3 may receive the same new S11 chip, allowing performance similar to its higher-end siblings. The display is expected to be larger, with thin bezels for a modern design, and advanced health monitoring such as ECG or upgraded sleep sensors may also be added. In terms of design, Apple considered a colorful plastic case, but it seems it will remain within the familiar aluminum frame. The price is expected to be more accessible, starting at $199.

A Health Revolution on the Wrist

Currently, existing Apple watches can measure heart rate, perform ECG tests, and track oxygen saturation, but they do not measure blood pressure. If the leaks prove true, the new generation is expected to bring a real breakthrough with continuous, even if partial, blood pressure monitoring, allowing early detection of hypertension. In this way, Apple takes another step toward realizing its vision of turning the personal watch into an accessible medical tool.

Alongside all this, Apple continues to maintain a clear division strategy: The SE model is affordable and cost-effective, the Series model includes all innovations for general users, and the Ultra model is for sports and adventure enthusiasts. The official announcement is expected on September 9, with pre-orders opening a few days later.
