The communications company Partner announced that it has completed the transition of all its customers to a new cellular network core called Private 5G – the first move of its kind in Israel. According to the company, the migration led to an approximately 15% improvement in call stability and continuity, and a significant decrease in calls to support centers.

The transition to the new network allows all customers to enjoy higher quality voice and video calls, advanced encryption and security, improved stability, and higher capacity. Customers subscribed to 5G packages also benefit from faster browsing speeds and an improved user experience, especially during peak hours.

The launch of the Private 5G network began about a year ago, in collaboration with Ericsson and with an investment of tens of millions of shekels. Through this move, Partner joins a small group of global telecom companies that have already transitioned to a similar network structure, including T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, Vodafone, and others. The network is based on the most secure and advanced technology currently available.

At the same time, the company also officially launched Standalone technology after completing the testing phase, and it is currently in the midst of upgrading all its cellular sites throughout the country. This technology includes two main capabilities: Network Slicing, which allows allocating parts of the network to specific customers or services according to changing needs, and Low Latency, which reduces response times and enables real-time applications. These capabilities are especially important in fields such as gaming, remote medical control, command centers, smart industry, robotics, and autonomous vehicles.

According to Yigal Giladi, VP of Engineering at Partner, “Partner’s mobile customers are entering a new, more advanced and secure era. The new network provides customers with a much higher-quality service experience, reflected in fewer support center calls and increased customer satisfaction.”
