Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion, speaking at The Jerusalem Post’s Diplomatic Conference held at the Friends of Zion Media Center in Jerusalem, told conference attendees that investing in Jerusalem is an investment in the future of the Jewish people, and added that “investing in the peace of Jerusalem is an investment in the peace of the whole region and of the whole world.”

Despite the difficult days that the region is experiencing, Lion noted that Jerusalem has remained a city of cooperation and partnership between Jews, Christians, Muslims, religious, and secular people. “It is a city with democracy on every corner, with shared life in every hospital, university, office, park, and more,” he said.

Lion extended his thoughts and prayers to the victims of last week’s terror attack in Jerusalem, and concluded by stating “that we will continue to build a shared future for the people of Jerusalem.”
