Savyonim Group, one of the leading companies in the field of urban renewal, is adding another major project to its portfolio in Haifa. On 53 and 53A Haviva Reik Street, two old "railway-style" buildings comprising a total of 56 apartments are slated for demolition. In their place, approximately 170 new residential units will be constructed in modern buildings, designed according to the group’s high standards.

The initiative is being carried out in collaboration with the Yehuda Levy Group and includes not only a significant increase in housing units but also a comprehensive upgrade of the surrounding built environment. This is yet another project in a long series of initiatives led by Savyonim Group in Haifa and the Krayot area, encompassing thousands of housing units at various stages of planning, promotion, and execution.

According to Mark Dubnov, Vice President of Business Development at Savyonim Group: “We view Haifa and the Krayot as a central growth engine for the group. The Haviva Reik project is another building block in our extensive operations, which include thousands of residential units simultaneously. We act out of a genuine belief in urban renewal as a tool to improve quality of life and to create an advanced urban environment.”

Dubnov also emphasized that Savyonim Group is committed to leading a transparent process with all tenants, while upholding community values, innovative planning, and uncompromising professionalism at every stage.

Attorney Hadar Arbel, of Hadar Arbel – Law Firm, who represents the apartment owners in the 53 and 53A Haviva Reik project in Haifa, added:

“The initiative on Haviva Reik Street goes far beyond a standard evacuation-and-reconstruction project. It’s a real opportunity for residents to upgrade their quality of life. Over the past year, we conducted an intensive developer tender, thoroughly examined each proposal with the tenants' committee — not only in terms of compensation, but mainly regarding guarantees, timelines, and developer responsibility.”

"Throughout the entire process, we worked with the understanding that this is the tenants’ moment to receive maximum certainty and minimum risk. That’s why we included clauses in the agreement that truly benefit them along the entire way.

The evening when the agreement was presented and nearly 50% of the residents signed was a moving and pivotal moment — not just because of the numbers, but because it reflected trust in the process, transparent work, and legal management that gives real peace of mind to the residents. For us, this is a model of responsible urban renewal — one that starts with a contract but is first and foremost about people," Arbel concluded.
