Bank Hapoalim announced on Wednesday that it has contributed more than NIS 1.3 million to support Soroka Medical Center in Be’er Sheva—severely damaged by a direct Iranian missile hit—and to Sheba Tel HaShomer and Ichilov hospitals, which treated patients evacuated and wounded in the recent “Lion’s Den” operation.

The donation, made through the bank’s Social Banking Center, will help Soroka complete urgent repairs and restore full functionality, while bolstering the field hospital Sheba established to receive Soroka’s displaced patients and supporting Ichilov’s emergency care for those struck by rocket fire.

This latest contribution builds on the over NIS 1.1 million Bank Hapoalim has donated in the past six months to Rambam Health Care Campus, Bnei Zion Medical Center in Haifa, Shamir Medical Center, Carmel Medical Center, Poria Medical Center, Laniado Medical Center, Meir Medical Center, the Kaplan Medical Center Friends Association, and the Barzilai Medical Center support group.

“No institution stands alone in times of crisis,” said Noam Na’ngbi, chairman of Bank Hapoalim. Since October 7, we have provided emergency relief to the Israeli economy, offering benefits, assisting evacuees, and supporting businesses and private clients affected by the hostilities. In light of the severe damage to Soroka, we are fully committed to its rapid recovery, just as we stand with Sheba and Ichilov in caring for those evacuated from the south. Bank Hapoalim will continue to help Israel’s economy and citizens return to everyday life with renewed strength.”
