Zoho, an Indian technological company that makes cloud-based business software, has grown by 24% in Israel in 2024, leading to it opening its first Israeli office at the Sarona complex in Tel Aviv.

Zoho’s rapid growth in Israel is due to growing demand for smart cloud software solutions, and efforts to adapt to the local market. It has been adopted across IT companies, professional service providers, retail, financial services, and manufacturing.

Premanand Velumani, Associate Director for Strategic Growth in the Middle East and Africa, said, “We are now going to open an office in Israel to cater to our growing customer base, while continuing to expand our local partner network. In addition, we will continue the translation efforts and upgrade the Hebrew support that we have accelerated in the recent years."

Zoho are developing their own AI

Recently Zoho launched Zia LLM, a large language model (LLM) with up to 7 billion parameters, and they are continuing to expand its parameters.

Larger parameters means the model has a greater capacity to learn and store information, which gives it greater accuracy, better performance, and more human text generation.

While other AI services may not be trained specifically on business problems, Zia LLM is unique in that it is made for the business context and thus can answer related questions more efficiently than other LLMs may be able to.

International relations

India and Israel have close relationships, characterized by collaboration in innovation and technology since the 1990s.

Timer Gozlan, Regional Manager of Zoho Israel, said, “Given Israel’s strong culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, expanding Zoho’s presence here is a natural next step.”

He continued to note that, “we view Israel as a strategic market where we can offer businesses a wide range of secure and accessible solutions. Our goal is to be a long-term technology partner for businesses in Israel and help them turn technology into real, measurable growth.”
